Hello people, this is my first journal entry. ^^

I've had this account for several months but I totally forgot about it after making it in Web Design class.



I woke up today feeling like I had a cold. My mom quickly jumped to the conclusion that I had the H1N1 virus. She wants me to get vaccinated ASAP but I dont really see the point in it seeing as every time I get a flu vaccine I end up getting the flu. I figure I'm just cursed like that. I'm sure as soon as I get the vaccine I'll end up coming down with another strain thats just as annoying. All of my colleges are attendance based and it would be a killer to my grades if I came down with something.

Well I went to class anyhow. I only have one class on Tuesdays and Thursdays, Japanese. I love that class so much. My teacher is really fun and jokes about the language a lot. Hehe, she says "O-hisashiburi desu ne!" when people are absent (I havent seen you for a long time!).

There are people in my class who have already taken Japanese in high school and they are making it a lot harder for me to learn. I swear.. today I was trying to identify and piece together words in hiragana and they just shouted out the answers before I could even find the first part of the word. When we read things, they answer more quickly and my voice comes out an awkwardly noticeable second later. Oh well.. I guess that will only inspire me to work harder.

Listening to kawaii-radio right now. It seems like there is an audio-story on right now which is a bit distracting as I am trying to come up with thoughts and type them and random people are having conversations using words I havent learned. And now theres a creepy laughing girl. Great.

What are they saying!??!?!

I wish I knew japanese already. All I know how to do is count, greet people, ask for numbers and time... and.. yeah thats it so far. lol

After class I had an hour and a half to use while waiting for my mom to get out of math class (I cant drive yet so I rely on her for transportation)so I went to the Career Center to get a referral for a job only to find out after waiting all that time that there were two required classes that they didnt mention in the job description.

Yesterday I had a similarly frusterating experience with them when I found out after recieving my referrals that the positions were filled!! Why do people have such a hard time communicating with the Career Center? I swear.. it makes me wonder how ANYONE is working at that school, lol. I hope this was all just coincidence and that I wont run into these problems in the future because it would be great to work at the school and not have to drive all over the place and worry about time.

So after that I went looking for a place to sit that was covered because it was raining nekos and found a nice spot under a large oak tree that I sat at a week ago (the source of my ridiculous half an hour long adventure to find my mom because I was distracted by a squirrel that was eating nuts. We dont have squirrels in California and they are all over the place in Washington. p.s those little number tag things that are in books would be EXCELLENT right now because I'm writing an awkwardly large amount to go in parentheses).
A very cute guy asked to sit next to me and we talked for a while about classes, and about manga a lot after I mentioned I was taking Japanese. But then he asked if I wanted to go on a date with him this weekend and I quickly (and politely) told him that I had just gotten out of a relationship a few days ago and wasnt over my ex and then looked at my phone and said I had a class and excused myself. I didnt have a class, lol. I just get a little nervous in these situations..

I dont know if I'll be able to recognize him if I see him again. He kind of looked like a typical hipster kid (glasses like Rivers Cuomo, weirdly washed skinny jeans, wavy i-dont-give-a-s#!t-about-my-hair-and-it-still-looks-cool hair) and I've seen several guys that look just like him. Unless of course he just happens to get around campus REALLY fast and is almost everywhere I go.

That would be extremely creepy if it werent so unlikely, lol.


Anyways.. if I happen to see him again and one of us recognizes each other I will definitely get his name and number and at least be friends with him because after talking to Jordan (bff since first grade) I realized that it was kind of silly not to when I have THREE FRIENDS in this ENTIRE CITY and only ONE of them goes to my college.

(I just moved here a month ago.)


Then I went to the laundromat and did laundry.. although I guess its not really necessary to say that (NO. I went there to COOK PASTA. Which I am reminded of only because I spent the whole time talking to my friend about what kind of sauce she should buy for her pasta, lol)







Soooo.. now here I am and theres not much else to say. Or rather, not much else I SHOULD say.

Well.. except "hey guys, do you know if theres a way to use italics, because that would look a lot better than random capitalization all over the place"
